Kaitlyn and Billy got married in northern Maine at Bradford camps, on Munsungan Lake. It’s an off-the-grid, lakeside lodge/camp deep in the woods. It’s an adventure to get there, but so worth it!
The Bradford Camps property has 8 beautiful cabins and a a main lodge that overlooks the lake. Docks line the shore with plenty of boats for visitors to take fishing. The owners Karen and Igor, and their wonderful staff take absolutely great care of you!
Kaitlyn and Billy’s wedding day started out rainy, but when it was time to do hair and make up the sun started to come out like it knew something special was going to happen that day. I love how they chose to have a small wedding. It made the day feel more intimate with just their close friends and family there. After the beautiful ceremony and cute photos with friends and parents, Billy took Kaitlyn to a spot where he had a surprise waiting. Prior to the wedding, Billy had taken apart the dock floor boards from where he and Kaitlyn shared their first kiss, and brought them to the wedding, in a secret spot arranging them into a square floor shape where he had roses (in the shape of a heart) waiting. Kaitlyn was so surprised! It was such a sweet touch.
After pictures it was time to gather in the main lodge for a delicious meal, with emotional toasts from the best man and maid of honor. Afterwards everyone gathered for drinks and fun around the fire on the beach by the lake!
Thank you Kaitlyn and Billy for such a lovely wedding that I was so happy to be a part of!
